We are very excited to do this concert with the Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra. It's not often a large chorus sings with a jazz ensemble. It wasn't easy finding arrangements that were scored for both groups, but we were able to locate some great arrangements from the swing era that we are excited to sing with the jazz ensemble. Much of the music we'll be performing is from the golden age of the Big Band Era. Songs like Moonlight Serenade, Sweeter Than the Sweetest are classic Glenn Miller pieces we will be performing together. The jazz orchestra and the chorale will also be presenting a variety of songs separately on this program, too. It promises to be a toe-tapping experience. We wouldn't be surprised if the audience is jitterbugging by the end of the show!
