Rochester Women's Community Chorus Presents "100 Years of Music"

A musical journey through the last century of popular music.

The Rochester Women’s Community Chorus (RWCC) will perform on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Harley School under the direction of Kristy Houston. The chorus will present “100 Years of Music,” a program of music from the past century that crosses boundaries of both time and genre. From Queen to Miley Cyrus and “Pinocchio” to “Rent,” there’s something for music lovers of all ages to enjoy.

“This season we decided to take a musical journey through the last one hundred years of vocal music,” says Karen Wedge-Landry, who serves on the RWCC’s music selection committee. “We’ll be traveling from swing to boogie-woogie, through ballads and show tunes, on to folk and synth-pop, to finally arrive at today’s pop rock. We hope you’ll join us on this musical voyage!”

Tickets are available at the door and on the RWCC website. General admission: $15; Seniors: $12. Children 12 and under are free. The Harley School is located at 1981 Clover Street, Rochester, NY, 14618. The Harley School Auditorium is wheelchair accessible, and the performance will feature ASL interpretation.
