
The Finger Lakes Choral Festival presents the area premiere of "The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace," by Karl Jenkins, Sunday, July 27, 4:00 PM at Hochstein Performance Hall. Collaborators include The Mount Hope World Singers, Thomas Warfield, PeaceArt International, and the M.K. Gandhi Institute. The concert is free of charge, donations accepted to benefit charity.
Karl Jenkins's globally popular choral masterwork, "The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace," has been performed more than 2700 times around the world, amassing a devoted following of choristers and audience who follow this life-changing work. Now in its 25 season, The Armed Man receives it area premiere through a performance by the Finger Lakes Choral Festival, Thomas Warfield and PeaceArt International. Also featured on the program are the Mount Hope World Singers, Annika Bentley, Artistic Director, Brian White, conductor. The Finger Lakes Choral Festival Orchestra accompanies under the direction of Eric Townell. Admission is free of charge. Donations accepted at the door address poverty relief in Rochester.
