The Lyric Chorale is seeking adult singers, all voice parts (SATB), to join
our community chorus. We are passionate about choral music, and
perform a variety of fun and challenging repertoire, including classical
(17th c. to the present), jazz, folk, Broadway and pop music. Our singers
have ranged from 18 to 80s.
As with nearly all organizations, community choral groups have suffered
during the pandemic. We have not been able to fundraise or schedule a
full season of concerts. We have lost members during this time and want
to rebuild. We are all looking forward to performing without masks, and
getting back to normal schedules. Our usual concert seasons include a
holiday concert, cabaret, and spring concert.
There are many community choruses in Rochester to choose from. We
offer an excellent chorus averaging 30 to 40 singers which strives for
expressive musicality and stylistic integrity. Singers considering the Lyric
Chorale will benefit from having choral experience, some musical
knowledge, and the desire to be challenged and inspired. If that sounds

committed, responsible choral singers who are willing to learn and are
